Multiagent System for Haunted House


A friend runs a Haunted House in the fall. He had multiple audio, video and other electronic effects for the multiple scenes within the house. Manually orchestrating all steps for the multiple performances each night for multiple weeks was exhausting him.

He needed help automating many of the effects.


We developed a distributed platform of multiple, small Raspberry PIs processors that could control and automate the various effects throughout the house. We also developed a central, user-interface orchestrator to trigger and automate the many scenes. The processes are an inter-communicating collection of multiple agents (a Multi-agent System).


The system was programmable and adaptable, so we were able to easily update the agent automations as my friend, The Director, wanted.
